Auckland Girls' Grammar School
DLM was invited to upgrade the Upper Gymnasium at Auckland Girls' Grammar School following ongoing leaks and fire damage.
The development involved a full reclad and roofing using modern materials to give the Gym a lift and revitalizing old worn-out materials. The interior was also fully refurbished with a new modern Gym space feel, including new timber sprung floors, plywood wall linings, black steel portal frames and a new ceiling. Fire, mechanical & structural upgrades were also carried out to bring the building up to current standards. To improve accessibility, a new lift was integrated into the design, complemented by upgraded external access routes and landscaping that enhance the arrival experience.
